                              Pricing

It's a fact. No two merchants are alike.

Though Your Affiliate Team does not publish list prices for its services, we can offer some very helpful insight to product and service owners as to how our pricing model is structured, and how we determine which plan is most appropriate given the client's situation.

Your Affiliate Team suggests three basic pricing models, and every merchant will find itself in one of these models based on the merchant's profile, transaction history, affiliate program objectives, risk assessment, and other situational factors.

Yes, there is a program for YOU. Let us know where you are with your affiliate program. Why not complete our online Merchant Application.

Category 1: Business Development Clients

Business Development clients that can be characterized as follows:

Business in operation generally less than 6 months

Gross revenue averaging under $5,000/month in the last 6 months period

Few products

No, or limited backend products

Limited transaction history

Limited customer base

May or may not have affiliate program in place

No affiliate manager (owner may be "acting")

Pricing structure for this client category typically can be one of the following:

Low risk: No, or nominal monthly retainer fee combined with affiliate management commissions starting midway in the commission range customary for the industry.

High risk: Monthly retainer fee combined with affiliate management commissions starting midway in the commission range customary for the industry.

Notes:

1. Commission percentage also dependent on average product/service selling price (e.g. low-end ebook selling for $37 is typically associated with a higher commission percentage than, say a $197 home study course.)

2. Many factors come into play when assessing risk with Category 1 clients. Merchants should understand that a strong affiliate program is almost never a substitute for a poor/marginal product with a low unique value proposition in the market. A great rule of thumb is "If the product cannot sell on its own merit, don't expect affiliates to bother selling it".

3. Generally, the higher the risk, the higher the retainer fee to compensate the provider for higher than average upfront program development time and cost. In addition, commission fees can be expected to accelerate as gross affiliate revenue increases over the term of engagement.

Your Affiliate Team is excited about the possibilities of working with the aggressive marketing mindset of the Category 1 business owner. Depending on their situation, Category 1 clients can find that they incur only a nominal upfront investment in affiliate program management. And, since commissions are paid out of actual earnings, the business owner assumes virtually NO risk!

Category 2: Growth-mode Clients

Growth-mode clients that can be characterized as follows:

Business in operation generally more than 1 year

Gross revenue averaging at least $5,000/month, but typically over $10,000, in the last 6 months period, with rapidly increasing revenues

Several products, including some backend products priced at least in the $200 -$500 range if not higher

Moderate to high transaction history

Growing customer base, with some demonstrated success in upselling to a portion of the base

Typically an affiliate program already in place

May or may not have dedicated affiliate manager (owner may be "acting" affiliate manager)

Pricing structure for this client category typically can be one of the following:

Low risk: No, or nominal monthly retainer fee combined with affiliate management commissions starting midway in the commission range customary for the industry.

Notes:

1. Commission percentage also dependent on average product/service selling price (e.g. low-end ebook selling for $37 is typically associated with a higher commission percentage than, say a $197 home study course.)

2. Generally, the higher the risk, the higher the likelihood of a retainer fee to compensate the provider for higher than average upfront program development time and cost. In addition, commission fees can be expected to accelerate as gross affiliate revenue increases over the term of engagement.

Your Affiliate Team is excited about the possibilities of working with Category 2 clients who are experiencing rapid revenue growth but who would like to ensure that their affiliate revenues are maximized as well. Depending on the situation, Category 2 clients will find that they incur NO upfront investment in outsourced affiliate program management. And since affiliate management commissions are paid out of actual earnings, the business owner assumes virtually NO risk!

Category 3: Mature, Growth-mode Clients

Mature Growth-mode clients that can be characterized as follows:

Business in operation generally more than 2 years, and often more than 5

Gross revenue averaging at least $50,000/month, but typically over $100,000/month, in the last 6 months period, with rapidly increasing revenues

Several products, including some backend products priced at least $1000+ and usually have some backend products priced in the $2,000 to $5,000 range.

High volume transaction history

Large, mature and growing customer base, with high volume of upselling activity to the customer base

A sophisticated affiliate program in place, usually with a popular affiliate network

Dedicated affiliate manager, often in-house but could be employee of affiliate network provider

Pricing structure for this client category typically can be one of the following:

Low risk: Fully negotiable

Notes:

1. Category 3 clients may find that Your Affiliate Team, working with members of the Independent Affiliate Management Network, is an ideal source for outsourcing specific affiliate management tasks (e.g. recruitment from a particular market niche). Your Affiliate Team is excited about the opportunity to work with such clients in such roles, as well as fully outsourced affiliate program management.

Depending on the situation, Category 3 clients will find that they incur NO upfront investment in outsourced affiliate program management. And since affiliate management commissions are paid out of actual earnings, the business owner assumes virtually NO risk!
